Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work.
Ability to interact with the public and other employees in a positive manner and promote a cooperative working environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to working safely.
Ability to form and maintain effective partnerships across organizational boundaries.
Adequate oral and written communications skills in English.
Coordinates several projects at the same time while prioritizing competing demands on time frames.
Ability to demonstrate advanced computer literacy.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability work independently; a self-starter who is able to produce high quality work with minimal direction.
Use consistent good judgment and think creatively to solve problems.
Ability to lift and carry up to 65lbs safely.
Ability to work outside and in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to attend various meetings as requested with minimal advanced notice.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Consistently use basic construction tools safely to accomplish assigned tasks.
Must be comfortable working on a ladder and all heights. Must be comfortable working in confined spaces.
Is proficient at using small hand tools and larger power tools.
Up holds the white-glove company mantra, and exhibits positive attitude with customers.
Works with Direct and Indirect Supervision.
Attendance, above average and is prompt.
Able to properly document and submit timesheets, on time.
Compliant with safety procedures and requirements
Demonstrates and exhibits proper Uniform practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
3 years of experience performing construction related tasks
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Basic knowledge of the intranet and other telecommunications software
Candidate must able to work overtime, night and weekends
