\nJob Duties
\nTo provide comprehensive social work services to meet the needs of the Gero-psychiatric population during admission, treatment and discharge phases; coordinate and implement recovery and community services programs for the facility.
Plan, organize and implement a full range of clinical social work services to patients and their support systems in specific admission and/or long-term care program areas; complete ongoing assessments; provide treatment to patients for recovery based on a sound therapeutic approach, and to coordinate discharge. Serve as active member of the interdisciplinary recovery team. Provide education and support services to patient’s primary support system. Provide clinical training for social work staff and interns. This position will also assist with program development and performance improvement as needed.Minimum Qualifications
\n Graduation from an accredited school or university required
MSW required
Require experience or knowledge in clinical social work, therapeutic counseling, conducting psychosocial assessments and discharge planning.
Additional Considerations
\n LCSW preferred.
Prefer experience working in inpatient psychiatric facility with mentally ill older adult patients. Prefer knowledge and experience in implementing psychiatric recovery principles.
Prefer experience in a treatment team setting
